Who needs Photoshop!?!

You just gotta love Florida sunsets, it seemed like the entire sky was on fire. Lucky for me, I grabbed my camera on my way out and got some pictures of it.

Tote Bags

I found this tutorial from Colorfool a couple months ago. It's a simple project and the end result is just plain cute. I thought I'd gift them to the little girls in our family for Christmas (Elizabeth has already claimed the green one). The totes are roomy enough that they can take them to the library or use them to carry their special treasures in.

Bye Bye pumpkins

Well, let's add pumpkins to the list of veggies that I'm not going to waste my time with. Between the Powdery Mildew and the Pickleworms, not to mention the Root Knot Nematodes, they were really struggling. And since space is a premium in my garden, they had to go. I had the little one pull them for us (I just couldn't do it). Poor little pumpkins, maybe next year will be better.

Done... except for paint

I love the little window box!

I woke up yesterday morning, ready to go buy some paint, and of course it decides to start raining! So for now, I bring you the new coop, without the pretty light yellow paint job.

Hammock Snakeroot

Hammock Snakeroot is another great wildflower for the shady areas of the yard. I have mine planted in with Rouge Berry and Wild Coffees and it really looks beautiful when all of them are in bloom.

Apple Tree

Our Apple Tree is blooming right now. This variety Anna, along with Dorsett for cross-pollination, is a good choice for us living in Florida. They need about 300-400 hours of chill time to produce fruit and the only drawback we've had so far, is that they're very susceptible to scale.
