Wow! What gorgeous photos. I just love the crab!
And most appropriately the word verification is "hydro"

3C, isn't he just the cutest?! Thankfully, I got one good picture before he scooted into his home.

"adorable"

Now that is a word you don't often hear when discussing ghost crabs.

I love your perspective Dani. Hope it was a great beach day!

ScMomma, they sure are! My other pics are blurred from him movin' so quick.

Fishy, it was perfect yesterday morning. Hot, but with a great breeze comin' off the Gulf.

FC, there's just something about them... :)Cute, cute, cute!

Chickory, yes, blogger is known to eat comments from time to time. ;)
I should just do away with the comment moderation. Maybe we'll do a test run and see if it goes ok.

Hmmm, looks very familiar.

Thanks Darla!

Shamu, you lucky woman! Hangin' out in Sanibel looking for shells. Wish we could make it down to see you...

What's with all the seaweed on shore?
How about the full moon? How beautiful reflecting off the gulf? Playing peek-a-boo in the night sky clouds. I found a perfect common fig shell unbroken sitting all by itself on the sand. Now if I can just get it home unbroken.

Shamu, we have a lot of ric rac on our beaches too. It's mostly from all the storms we had last week.

Have you seen any dolphin yet?

Big Shamu said...

I've seen fins. I also saw the signs warning of sharks. YEEHAA.
Very rough ocean though. No crab carcasses yet.

Dani said...

Sham, just stay out of the water in the early mornings and evenings. That's when the sharks are most active and feeding. Fingers crossed for a crab carcass.

Do you like where you're staying? We've never tried anyplace else other than Beachview Cottages.

I have a friend who kindly lets me use her beach house. I couldn't be any luckier.

Dani said...

Shamu, HOLY GUACAMOLE! That is AWESOME! What a sweet friend you have. :)

Took the teenagers to the beach on Monday morn and saw four small nurse sharks and one very friendly manatee. This was at South Pointe at South Beach! Water was very clean and clear and after a while the girls wanted to go to the pool. Spoilt they are, La Diva said NO!

Diva, I'm so jealous! :) What cool sightings!
