Hubby was able to get the second raised bed built for me over the weekend. It proved to be a little difficult trying to work around the Yellowtop that has gone bonkers, but he got it in, and staked the Yellowtop up so that it wasn't hanging over the bed. And now I'm just debating on what to grow in it. So many choices! But, I think I'm leaning towards doing parsnips and carrots. I've never grown parsnips before, so I'm definitely excited to give those a try.
I admire how you minimized your impact footprint, and kept the native growers untouched. Looking forward to watching the garden beds grow!
ReplyDeleteYour beds look great! Hope you have great success with them!
ReplyDeleteRemind me to get my hub over here and show him your hub's raised bed artwork. c'est magnifque!
ReplyDeleteOn the parsnips...I will not grow that which I will not eat. ;)
Looking good, the tough work is done now, right? ;)
ReplyDeleteuh oh, you're taking a while to post again. I hope you haven't picked up my bloggers block disease! :)
ReplyDeleteRobert, since we moved into this house seven years ago, I've been slowly replacing all the plants that don't belong with natives that do. I'm lucky enough as well that I have a native plant nursery down the road. I spend way to much time there. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim!
Laura, my mom said the same thing, now I'm scared to try them.
Lisa, how I wish, but that's never the case.
Laura, I just needed a little prodding. ;)
