I was about to ask where you'd seen them, then saw your comment. We don't get out to Ft. Desoto much, and I dont think i've ever seen them around here before. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled, what a cool looking bird!
We have a goodly number of them in summer and we simply love them. A pair used to nest in our horse yard and they were nearly tame....I hope they come back this year.

ReplyDeleteScMomma, the only time we ever see them, is when we're at Fort Desoto. They tend to hang in the open field with the tall grasses.
