Man Dani... you're giving me a major chicken itch! LOL! I'm still nervous about getting our secret birds in April, but I hope we can pull it off. Seeing one of yours up so high makes me think we'll need to learn how to clip their wings!
Beautiful birds!!! any ideas if the polish will lay much? I've heard they're bad layers from some people and others say they lay just fine.
Those are cute! Just the right pick-me-up I needed today.
ReplyDeleteScMomma, I'm so sorry you lost such a wonderful member of your family. I hope the stories you have, will make the passing a little easier.
ReplyDeleteLove your chickens and really, really love the names. We name ours too!
ReplyDeleteThreecollie, we had such a good time picking out names for them!
ReplyDeleteDarla, you need to get some chickens at your place. ;)

ReplyDeleteFishy, those little chicks are adorable! I can't wait till the Polish one grows up a bit and the head feathers come out. Gonna be beautiful!

Kate, I had heard the same thing about the Polish breed. Cotton though, has been very consistent, giving us a good sized egg every other day.
ReplyDeleteWing clipping is a good thing for stealth chickens or for flighty ones like Cotton. The higher the better for her.
Cute is right! That Laverne is a smile maker.
ReplyDeleteThey are all pretty and seem to have such personalities! Maybe it's because of all the love they get. :)
ReplyDeleteFC, isn't she just the cutest?
ReplyDeleteLisa, they are loved, no doubt about it!
