Getting the Garden Going

Over the weekend, Hubs worked in the garden emptying the compost bins and building me a new raised bed.

Not the most pleasant of tasks right now, considering it's like a million stinkin' degrees outside!

But in the end, I got a brand new raised bed (you ROCK Hon!) filled with FREE compost.

Woohoo!

I can't wait till my seed order comes in, and I can get out there and start planting for the fall!

  1. It looks great. I can't believe there isn't a bunch of skinks in that compost! They love compost piles.

  3. It's actually cool here. Makes me want to grill more.
Considering you have a garden around more during the year, do you miss it the short time it's not there?

  4. FC, I have skink envy!
The one you rescued the other day was a beauty. :)

    Darla, yep, he's a keeper.

Sham, horribly so. It's such a part of my daily routine that I'm kinda lost when summer sets in and there's nothing growing. This year though I've been doing a lot of sewing and that's helped a lot.
