(bad shaky arms.....not the best thing to have when you're shooting video.)
I was hangin' out in our screen porch yesterday, when the hawk made a dive into the chicken coop. As you can hear, the chickens were just a tad upset. ;)
Sham, hahhahahah! Great idea, except wasn't there some issues with the bottle rockets? Some where along the lines of "old and tend to malfunction". hehehhehe
Erin, again, I'm so thankful our neighbors are cool. :)
Dani - that's why we can't let our girls free-range. Our yard has so many hawks and they sit there drooling out of the corner of their beak at my fat snack-hens. We've even seen a bald eagle eyeing them up, so we have to keep them contained unless we're standing right there with them. Yours are doing a good job of letting each other know there's a bad guy watching them!
We had a hawk swoop into our yard a week or so ago - he swoooped about a foot above my head it was startling but oh so cool! I think I let out a sound similar to an upset chick! :P
He's probably heard they taste like chicken.
ReplyDeleteNeat video. Love the chicken sound.
FC, ha! You are so bad! :)
ReplyDeleteI know where you can get some bottle rockets. Cute little artist woman...
ReplyDeleteThat's great! I want to put that on a loop in my garden so it sounds like I have chickens!

ReplyDeleteThat is priceless video. Is he perched inside the chicken pen? Can you believe the casual attitude of this would-be murdered?

Lol! I don't think it'd have been too thrilled by that kind of visitor if I were a chicken, either!
ReplyDeleteShamu wonders who Chickory is saving the old bottle rockets for?
ReplyDeleteShamu, I'm almost afraid to ask. ;)
