Did you try the vacuum cleaner trick? A gardening friend of mine empties the contents of her vacuum cleaner bag around the perimeter of her vegetable garden. She says it definitely got rid of her rabbit problem.
Sham, we haven't seen a bunny in the garden all summer! Figures that I get done planting my tomatoes and the little bugger shows up. And really, did he have to eat my Flame Hillbilly tomatoes? The wonderful, striped W.VA heirloom that I grew from seed. GGGRRRR!
Why do those darn garden enemies have to be so cute? I had a squirrel in my garden when I lived in Chicago. You'd think the greedy little bastid would have been happy with the sunflowers I planted for him but no....ate all my sprouting veggies as well!
I always thought that you could "reason" with a critter and plant extra for them but they are so greedy and wasteful and will take one bite out of a fruit or veggie and leave the rest!
ScMomma, between the chickens and the rabbits, it's amazing I have anything growing.
LaDiva, squirrels are so damn annoying! We have one that is always breaking into our screen porch. One of these days, his luck is gonna run out and he's gonna end up being a chew toy for my kitty.
Throws Jake in the Dog Van while proclaiming, "Jake, we're on a mission from Dog".
ReplyDeleteAnd don't be fooled by the cuteness Jake! It's just a cover.
ReplyDeleteJake's not fooled at all. He'll make quick work of that little nibbler.
ReplyDeleteSo much cuter than squirrels. But they aren't cute when nibbling. Everybody's got to eat. :-)
