Goofy kids are the best!! I see your gifts on top of the piano, is that so Ollie doesn't tear them open or so the precious girl doesn't tear them open..LOL
Ollie has been great about the tree, but I don't trust him for a second when it comes to pretty packages with colorful paper. He'd have it shredded in a heartbeat!
Our tree doesn't have gifts under for the same reason! And the lower 1/3 isn't decorated, lol... our young Aussie "Sprocket" thought that was an unlimited supply of toys last year.
Hmmm...chickens on the piano with little santa hats would make great Christmas cards.
I don't know where my Mom and Dad got the piano. When I was little, I remember it being in pieces in the back of our print shop. Then later on, Dad put it all back together and moved it out to the house. Then I took five years of lessons. When Dad died in 2002 we contacted a piano mover about bringing it home here. Poor guys. Those country roads up in those hollows ain't never seen a big rig like that. But, they got it here and I love it with all my heart. Maybe someday we'll get it tuned and I'll take some lessons again.
Does the piano have a story? It looks like my grandmother's that my sister now has and had to "fight" to get back in the family. Hers is a player piano.
Dani, whenever I come to your site, I get to tickled! I see happiness and joy. Doggies and your beautiful, smiling daughter, your lush garden and the chooks! What a lucky chica you are! Thanks for sharing your life with us!

ReplyDeleteErin, lol! Sprocket was in toy heaven!
ReplyDeleteLook at it this way, you'll never need a paper shredder ever again.
ReplyDeleteWho plays the piano? And don't say chickens unless you've got video to back it up.
Shamy, good point. ;0

ReplyDeleteThose are great shots! I love the one of Ollie trying to eat her hat LOL
ReplyDeleteLisa, he is HUGE!
ReplyDeleteSnB, I wish I knew more of it's history. I meant to ask my Mom yesterday while I was on the phone, but we got sidetracked talking about other things.
ScMomma, Ollie needs to wear antlers. :)
your pup looks capable of dragging that whole tree outside. :-)
ReplyDelete(love the tree.)

ReplyDeleteThanks Boxer. Hopefully, we'll get through the next week and a half without him trying. :)
