Heinz ~ A reliable, early-maturing standard processing tomato. Very firm and flavorful 3-4 ounce fruits on compact, upright, determinate plants.
San Marzano Gigante ~ Large, open, indeterminate plants produce enormous, meaty fruit.
Viva Italia ~ beautiful Italian sauce tomato.
Isis Candy ~ Indeterminate cherry
Chocolate Cherry ~ my favorite of the cherry varieties!
Nice pics! It's cool to watch things grow. Right now we've got tomatoes, strawberries, and our Orange tree is blossoming. Love it when the Orange tree blossoms it makes the backyard smell so good.
ReplyDeleteRight now Old Faithful and the mint garden are hopping.
ReplyDeleteShawn, your place is hoppin'!
ReplyDeleteShamy, Son of Old Faithful is too!
We should do some more cuttings and send them out to Buzz. ;)
I am so jealous...I still have to wait a month before I can even set tomato plants out.
ReplyDeleteWe can't plant as early as you up here in South Jersey. In fact, the Mrs was going to the store today to buy some plants because we are going to try and start our garden (at the local community garden farm) tonight. If I can get the fence up and some of the weedguard down, that will be an accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteMy guess would be beefsteaks or big boys.
Yay! I am so happy for you. So far I have only planted cluster grande, which became my favorite the first time we tried it. I should plant more, but I am so gun shy after last years blight...fifty-two plants, maybe ten tomatoes all together.
ReplyDeleteDeb, we are a little spoiled here in Florida. :)
ReplyDeleteBuzz, that is awesome! You should take pics so we can see everthing grow up.
ThreeC, that is awful girlfriend!! Fingers crossed that this year you'll have a bumper crop.
HOORRAAYY!!!! We do too!! Break out the champagne!!
ReplyDeletehusky cherry, black russian, pineapple, rutgers, cherokee, sweet grape, some kind of yellow (not pear) and of course, one celebrity.
ReplyDeleteA little grape variety ... Jubilee? I really should pay more attention.
ReplyDeleteSo envious of your early growing season! Can't wait to see more pics as they develop.
ReplyDeleteYour tomatoes are ahead of mine. I planted black cherry (my favorite, too), chocolate cherry and lemon pear. I can't wait to taste the chocolate cherry.
ReplyDeleteWe have our plants (Jet Star Tomatoes) but they are not in the ground yet. Everyone around here is still having to buy tomatoes in the store. Yuk!
ReplyDeletestill waiting for warm weather to put things in the ground. Except for Sweat peas. They go in this week.
ReplyDeleteI'm here y'all. :) Just busy outside stalking butterflies and birds.
ReplyDeleteOh yummy! They don't even have the plants to buy here yet. :)
ReplyDeleteLookin' good. I finally gave up on the Sony and hooked the old pc up again. These damn machines hate me. Will you still have tomatoes
ReplyDeletewhen i get there? I kmow that sounds stupid, but I don't know how your seasons run. Love you little one later
Mom, it's you! Good to have you back on.
ReplyDeleteHmmm....the tomatoes should still be going in June. *fingers crossed*
Wow! That's a beautiful shot of the bloom! I haven't taken a single decent shot of my tomato flowers. Most of the time, I catch them already closing up! I sowed Bush Tomato and Yellow Queen!
ReplyDeleteSo, when should I come by with a bunch of canning jars to make gallons of sauce?
