Enjoying the Garden

  1. Thanks Dani, just the inspiration I needed! I am set to leaf through veggie catalogs and do my order today and it is dreary and miserable outside and hard to imagine anything growing out there, but now I can :) !

  13. Gorgeous shots!
    I planted broccoli for the first time this winter and have baby heads just forming.Can you offer any advice as to when I should start cutting the heads so they regrow more? They are quarter sized now.

  15. Tricia, I usually go by the look of the individual florets. You want them to be about the size of a match head.
    Depending on the kind, the broccoli head can be 4-7 inches across.

  16. Your pansies are MUCH happier than the pansies we have in my part of the world. And I'll say again, pansies are the heartiest flower I know... so why is being a PANSY, bad?
