Acorn Necklaces

I love these acorn necklaces, they're such a great autumn craft! I found the tutorial over at Crafty Crow. I don't crochet, but after reading a couple how-tos, it didn't seem so hard. After an hour of muttered curses, and flinging it around a couple times, I had made a acorn necklace. Pretty and cool! I like that.

That is a really neat idea! We learned how to use acorns as whistles at boy scout camp and now I have a huge basket of them that we picked up over the weekend. My nieces will love them!

Looks like a good project: the only problem is we don't have any acorns down here. I don't think the live oaks have the traditional oak nut of farther north.
