Dolphin

Just so everyone knows, I'm a BIG DOPE!! I was so busy jumping up and down and yelling in my excitement, that it didn't dawn on me to start snapping pictures until they were quite far from us. Thankfully, Hubs had the little pocket Nikon and got some video of them.

That is so amazing! I have never seen a dolphin except in the Niagara Falls aquarium. It is incredible to think of just seeing them! And the sound of the waves on the shore is so sweet and calming. Thank you

Just when I couldn't take the cold cold northern winter anymore, you put a little Florida sunshine in my heart. Thank you!

Threecollie, it really is amazing, and to see them so playful was just over the top!

Stephen, bring Polly and the kids to Florida! Great weather right now.

4th, we were wishing you and the girls had been with us, that would have made it a perfect day.

That is so cool! We saw a dolphin at Fort DeSoto yesterday. It is so great to just stand there and watch them.

I would have been a big dope too. :) How awesome! The only time I have ever seen a dolphin was when we were riding the ferry in Corpus and I was snapping photos, later I saw a dolphin in one of the photos, very near the ferry. That was it for me. You are so lucky! :)

Wow! Those are amazing shots. We see dolphin here a lot but usually only their fins as they swim by - to see them jumping and playing like that is awesome.
No matter how often I see them I still get excited, point, and jump up and down like I've never seen them before LOL

Awesome shots! I still get a thrill every time I see them out there!

and I have the hardest time getting them to pose for me! LOL. They never seem to stay up in the air long enough for a good photo!
Is that sand key in the background?

Jenn, were you there camping?

FC, glad I'm not the only one.

Lisa, did you live there for awhile or were you just visiting?

Darla, definitely!!

ScMomma, the fins are what we get too. I think we'll put this one in the once in a lifetime category.

Laura, Happy New Year!!
We were at Fort Desoto. The bridge you see in the background is the Skyway.
