Found treasure! Two big recycling containers.
Hubs cutting off the bottom.
Drilling holes for ventilation.
Constructive criticism?

Our new and improved compost bins, with lids even! You rock Hubs!
That is genius! What a great idea. You'll have black gold in no time.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! your man rocks!
ReplyDeleteScMomma, the next time he brings something home, I'll refrain from rolling my eyes and muttering about more stuff to store. ;)
ReplyDeleteLisa, I would never have thought of doing this! It's so much nicer than looking at our old chicken wire compost bins.
is he a mormon by any chance? ;-)
ReplyDeleteNICE!! We made a compost bin this weekend out of a trash can too! Yours are a bit fancier than ours - LOL. I'm still working out exactly what mix of junk to throw in it to encourage composting! Super cool hubby you've got there!
ReplyDeleteThanks FC!
ReplyDeleteCR, no, but can imagine all the work that would get done if there was another wife around here. I think we're on to something...;0
Kate, great minds think alike!
That. Is. An. EXCELLENT. Idea!!!!
ReplyDeleteI just had a complete "V-8" moment when I saw the pics, as in why didn't I think of that! SC is right, Your hub is a genius!
Hi Dani,
ReplyDeleteNot sure I understand why it was necessary to cut the bottoms off?
He is a genius! Good job.
ReplyDeleteLaura, you and me both! Thank goodness I keep him around. lol
ReplyDeleteFishy, it was more to keep it handicap friendly for me. I have a severe form of FSH muscular dystrophy. I can't move my body much anymore and with the bin being shorter, it makes it more accessible. :)
He does rock! Great idea.
ReplyDeleteDani,
ReplyDeleteyour HUBS is even nicer than I thought. Bravo! to you for gettng in that Florida garden despite the challenges.
