  2. Wow! Beautiful photography, did you do that all yourself Dani? Incredible colours! How is your garden growing with all this heat and humidity?

  3. Thanks Darla! I'm lovin' the chicken coop right now. It looks much prettier with paint. :)

Diva, I've lost most of everything in the front yard garden, but in the backyard things are doing well. I've got cowpeas, eggplants and beans that are just lovin' the heat!

  4. Dani - that's your coop in the 1st photo, right?? And are your chickens free to roam around your yard all day? I wish I could let mine roam free, but between our dog, hawks and the possiblity of them hopping the fence to a neighbor's house (all have dogs) we can't. I'm trying to figure out how to build an attached run now since I can't find a dog run for cheap to modify.

    Love your pics so much!!!

  6. Kate, yep, that's our coop. :)

Honestly, if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't let the girls have the run of the backyard. They get into everything! Drives me crazy some days!

  7. That is one sweet coop.
When you say the girls get into everything, what do you mean? Just the back garden or other things?

  9. Shamu, we ran chicken wire around the raised beds in the veggie garden to keep them out of there, but the rest of the backyard they've really torn up. They love nothing better than to dig and scratch looking for bugs and the poor plants just can't stand up to their sharp little nails.

  12. Hi Dani. Your yard looks great. I like the camouflage strategy of the insect in the last shot.
