Dim Sum Sunday - Summer Blockbuster

This week's Dim Sum Sunday is, Summer Blockbuster, let Hollywood be your culinary muse. So we take you back to 1984 with the film Ghostbusters.

I ain't afraid of no roast

In honor of this great movie, we present to you, "I ain't afraid of no roast"

No, I did not come up with the catchy title, it's from TBS "Dinner and a Movie".

Yes mom, it is real meat.

  3. That looks really tasty and I LOVE the title!
Roast is one of my favorite comfort foods. If there's a roast in the oven then all must be right in the world.

  5. You are brave to make a roast in this heat, it makes my air con work harder to have the oven on for a few hours but it looks oh so good!!! (We snorkeled instead of cooked today!) I'd love a nice roast beast sammy today!

  6. Very classic looking roast. You should have had a side order of slime!

  7. Buzz is right, creamed spinach could certainly pass as slime.

  8. Shamu, I could tell he was really missing it! ;)

Erin, thank goodness we came across their website! They were chalk full of recipes for the movies.

ScMomma, I know what to cook now if you ever come and visit. :)

Lisa, now THAT would be a cool job!

Diva, sounds like you had a good Sunday at the beach.

Buzz and Sham, I wish I would have thought of something like that!

  9. You really shouldn't let the family know that you can cook a roast. Is it too hot in August to cook a roast? ;-)
