Darla, the quietness of the house is what's freaking me out. There's no tv noise and endless chatter goin' on.

Next time I'll take pictures of her outside. My camera doesn't like the inside lighting. GGRRRR!!

Cherish these moments, you can't believe how fast they will fly. What a pretty girl she is!

Oh lord, let me run to CostCo to stock up on bulk tissues.

Threecollie, I'll be passing the tissues to you come Friday. :)
Becky is gonna have a great time with her studies!

Cathy, I was gettin' all teary eyed reading your post this morning. Thinking to myself that yes, one day she will go and it will seem like the time went in a blink of the eye.

Sham, thanks girlfriend. Too bad we weren't closer, I'd be coming to your place for some yummy comfort food.

Big Shamu said...

And what food would comfort you in these trying times?

Dani said...

Sham, mexican food. Having a pint of Ben and Jerry's Half Baked works good too. Not so good for the booty and thighs though. Damn!

Ahhh, She is so cute. Hang in there. That's what everyone told me when mine went through different milestones.

The leaving home for college thing was the worst.

Elizabeth looks like such a big kid with the cool shoulder bag. ;) (I managed not to cry this morning for the first day of kindergarten. But the BUS doesn't start until Thursday, so I'll let you know how that goes)

FC, I remember the picture you took of Katie when she was packing up her neon. I think everyone on the blogroll was shedding tears for your girls leaving. Glad it all worked out good. :)

4th, we wanted to call yesterday morning, but then we thought it might get in the way of getting ready. :)

Does her little friend ride the bus too?

Also, there was some shorts and sunglasses left here. I'll drop them in the mail just as soon as I'm done sewing some doll clothes for E's bitty baby. One of the patterns that I have is for the 18 inch dolls, but seems to work well for the 15 inch too.

OK, day two, how we doin'? Ready to start home schooling her or do I need to get more tissues and burritos?

Dani said...

Shamu, it's going good so far. And WOW! I have so much free time when I'm not being a mommy all day. ;) I think I'll go walk on the beach and stalk the birds for a little while this morning after I drop her off.

Big Shamu said...

Ah yes, the yang of free time to the ying of kid separation.

They do tend to grow up faster than we like! She's so sweet!

You know I remember a very pretty little girl playing outside on a hill in Gallia County. She grew up really fine and Elizabeth will to.

Thank you Anon. Sometimes I still dream about those rolling hills....
