I didn't know you had leaves in Florida. Palm leaves maybe but not broad leaves. And here's a recipe to go with the pictures:

That is so cute. I love the silkie

It really depends on were you live in Florida. Up in northern Florida it looks a lot like Appalachia. Lot's of rolling hills and hardwoods. Where I am in the central part we're more scrubland. Oaks, pines, palmetto and palms are the norm.

Thanks for the recipe.;)

ThreeC, Silky is a cutie. Her only downside is she's the typical "the sky is falling" chicken. Just a tad high strung. ;)

It's going to be so funny when people google chicken and broccoli and this pops up. Makes me laugh and laugh...

Dani, the girls need more sisters. Like a Bantam Splash Cochin Pullet.

Love your chickens.

LOL It sort of makes my dinner two nights ago seem a little inappropriate...

Did your chickens actually eat that broccoli? Ours will not touch broccoli or pinto beans.

Your girls are so beautiful. Right now mine are molting and look so pityful.

FC, hehehe. I have a feeling my girls wouldn't like stirfry.

Erin, glad I could help. :)

Shamy, Holy Cow! That is one funny lookin' chicken!
Now if we could only figure out how to make bantam turkeys....

Eileeninmd, thanks for stopping in. :) I love my girls too. They're my little smile makers.

MS, yes, that does make one feel a little guilty.

Granny Annie, those girls will eat anything!
Ours just finished molting a couple weeks ago. Sad lookin' things when they don't have any feathers.

Looooove these pics! Is that broccoli from your garden? Did they actually eat it? My girls are quite picky about their greens. Thankfully they love dollarweed and our yard is full of it.

Lisa, you are so welcome girlfriend!

Chickory, I wish I could give mine peaches. With Silky and Cotton having the crests, it turns into a huge dirty mess of feathers.

Diva, check out backyard chickens sometime. We're like this whole secret chicken society. ;)

Thanks Anna Patricia! They're a lot of fun.

Anon, hehehe. I like chicken and broccoli too. I just tell the girls it's no one they know.

Troll, it didn't even dawn on me until a day later when I uploaded my pictures.

Kate, no, it was store bought. The only thing I've found that the girls really don't like at all is tomatoes. Other than that, it's all good. :)

Hey! I just ordered that New Family Dinners book from amazon!!! The things that sold me on it were your recommendation; and a reviewer on the site said it was written in such a way that her children could help out. Can't wait to get my copy!
