  11. I saw your blog over at Darla's and had to stop by. I have just moved to Fl and am learning how to garden in the sand! I'm thinking lots of pots. lol

    Yes, your dog is beautiful.

  12. Darla, they're all yours!!! Does that make me a bad mommy? lol

Susan, yep, they are good little helpers. :)

Chickory, next time I do soup, I'm gonna add some kale like you suggested. Sounds yummy.

The lettuce is called Forellenschluss or speckled trout. It's my favorite of the year.

SAS, welcome to the sunshine state. :) Best thing to do is get yah some raised beds. It really is the best way to go around here.

  14. Dani - How is Ollie with the chickens? Our puppy has started going cujo on them and I can't let her near them. I know it's something I have to nip in the bud ASAP and it's not in a Lab's naturer to be mean, so I know it's just growing pains, but... ugh for right now! What did you do (are you doing) will Ollie to make sure he doesn't chase them and hurt them?

  15. Kate, can I introduce your puppy to my evil Hamster Bob? lol. (kidding)....kinda

We've been pretty lucky so far with Ollie. He forgets every once in a while and will give chase, but that's about it. I still keep a close eye on him though just in case.

  16. Chickens! I want chickens. *sigh* I live in the city too much of time, that's obvious. Such beautiful colors in your garden and I love the picture of your daughter surrounded by all that lush beauty.

    Just fabuulous.
