"Just living is not enough," said the butterfly, "one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower." ~ Hans Christian Anderson
Beautiful and graceful, varied and enchanting, small but approachable, butterflies lead you to the sunny side of life. And everyone deserves a little sunshine. ~ Jeffrey Glassberg
beautiful! I haven't seen one of those here, it's mostly the Black Swallowtails and the occasional Monarch. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWow, is that a real butterfly? Did you see it? Did you photograph it? Awesome!
ReplyDeleteErin, this little lady was a first for me.
ReplyDeleteGranny, yep, it's my pic. Crazy beautiful, isn't it?! I'm still doing a happy booty shake over it.
That's cool that you get butterflies like that in your backyard. I get those white and yellow ones that look like moths. Must be all the radon that we have in our Jersey soil.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! Beautiful butterfly!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely gorgeous. Well done Dani. It's almost surreal, like the butterfly is sucking up the yellow color from the flower thru it's legs. Blow that sucker up and frame it.
ReplyDeleteBuzz, you're still here?! I thought you were packin' up and heading to Mexico. Bahahah!!
ReplyDeleteThanks ThreeC!! :)
Floridagirl, thanks for stopping in. I love all your butterfly pics!!
Shamy, yep, that baby is getting framed!!!! I hope you have an AWESOME evening tonight. Can't wait to hear all about it.
That photo is amazing! So crisp and clear - it's like she was posing for you. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so royal and majestic! I find it really hard to photograph butterflies. Yours look so perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beaut!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! I'd do a happy dance too :)
ReplyDelete:-)~!!
ReplyDeleteYou did it again, didn't you? Beautiful pic. I get quite a few of this pretty lady. I need a reference book for butterflies, I don't know names, just faces. Have a good day. I'm waiting for the sun to dry everything. I wouldn't be upset if it is a little warmer too. Loveyou Shortkid
ReplyDeletep.s.Make that two pictures to frame Thank you
You took this? Wow-zer. It's beautiful. Our Science Musuem has a butterfly room/garden, where you can sit and the butterflies will often rest on your hair, fingers, but there is something about seeing one in nature (and taking a picture!) that's just amazing.
ReplyDeleteScMomma, I love the macro on my Sony!!
ReplyDeleteChandramouli S, I have a hard time too with the little suckers.
