Feeling Beachy

  1. Enjoy it while you can, Dani.

I'm so worried about the beach, water, fishies, industry, everything on your side of the state! It will affect us all, praying it's not as bad as they say it will be.

    Great day and photos!

  3. We are on pins and needles here too since the Gulf Stream passes right offshore and sooner or later we will start seeing effects... thanks for the breathtaking photos!

  4. Hope the oil doesn't reach you....I can almost smell the salt air!

  5. What was it that you picked up? Was it dead?? Was it stinky??? Was it some bizarre creature from the deep?

    SPILL!!!

  6. All of the pictures are fantastic but the first one looks like an oil painting of your daughter and Ollie. Lot it lots.

  7. Before I "knew" you and FC and SCMomma and a few other bloggers I didn't really appreciate your coast. Now I watch the news with so much worry....

  8. Erin, I'm afraid you're right girlfriend. *sigh*

    Darla, me too. :(

Shamy, it was a little dead urchin. I don't know if it smelled bad or not(snicker).

Granny, those two are such goobers! lol

  9. ThreeC, I'm afraid it's gonna get so much worse. Living only a mile from the Gulf, I can't even imagine losing all the beauty and wonder that we all hold so dear.

  10. I'd much rather have a hurricane than THIS oil spill. It is a category 5+.

FC, you are so right my friend!!!

  12. Love the pictures, loathe the threat!

The oil companies are getting so irresponsible soon beachfront communities will need volunteer corps to set booms 3 miles out just to protect what they love. Like volunteer fireman only volunteer enviromentmen.

So glad you got to enjoy a lovely beachy day.

  14. Beautiful pictures. It's been gray and cloudy here but we've been walking the beach anyway. And praying for a miracle.

  15. Had to come back and look at the "Kids". That dog looks like the happiest fluffy dog alive. He looks like he's about to give Elizabeth a Big Ole Kiss in the ear. And she will giggle like a fool.

  17. Enjoy you time, Dani! Have fun. The beach here is just a thirty minutes ride but I hardly get time to soak my feet in its cool water. Have fun!
