Nice pictures but way too many snakes. My inlaws live not too far from here (Sun City). Maybe we'll stop here next time we visit.
Buzz, it's a great park! I think you and the family would enjoy it. Just come in the winter and you won't have to worry about the snakes and jungle like humidity.

Dani, what kind of snake is that? It looks like a piece of metal? All of your photographs are wonderful. The turtle, the frog, the dragonfly and the settings that are lovely while perfect for a horror movie at the same time. You certainly have an eye about what to share.

Shamy, it's called a Buttonbush(Cephalanthus occidentalis). It's found mostly in swamps, floodplains, banks of ponds,
lakes, and streams.
So it's not an alien pod?
If Ripley shows up, I'll be sure to call you.
Hubby always says that the flora and fauna of Florida is like Jurassic Park! That huge buttonbush is just more proof! I love snakes too.
I might just have to get out to a park this weekend.... Great photos Dani.

Everytime we drive through there, we always see that big peacock! He's gorgeous.
There are MANY peacocks in the hood. I think we had about 4 new males last year alone. Once in a while they wander my way...one was fanned out one year trying to impress a pea hen right in my drive way against the white garage door. What a sight!
