I made a peach and blueberry pie and think that the blueberry flavor overwhelmed the peaches. Did the blackberries do the same or did you find the flavors were more or less balanced?
Dani - can you email me please? I looked for your email addy but couldn't fine it - my email is gardeningwithoutskills @ gmail dot com. One of my hens has got some scabby sores on her comb. I'm worried it's the pox that your girls had and I don't know a thing about it! I'm so worried... wondered if you had any advice for me. Sorry to hijack this comment thread, but I'm desperate!
What a find looking cobbler! While you all were baking your little hearts out, I just sliced some peaches and blackberries in a bowl, added vanilla gelato and tossed on some nuts. When the fruit is at its peak, it doesn't get much better!
I'm a cobbler kind of person... easy! Our blackberries (and we have a TON) won't be ripe until mid-August, but I'm going to keep the recipe link handy.
I have only recently been introduced to peach and blackberry cobbler and it is divine. Thanks for posting a place in the comments for us to find the recipe.
Do you have a recipe for this? I have some frozen peaches and blackberries sitting in my freezer
ReplyDeleteGorgeous...so tempting!

ReplyDeleteThanks Erin. :)
Moi, it was a good balance.
Great job on your pie too! I've never been able to do the pretty lattice work like you did. :)
Kate, give it a try with the blackberries. YUMMY
Susan, gonna have me some more of that yummy goodness for lunch in a little while.
MS, you and The Sweeties should make one. Elizabeth helped me with this one and she had a blast.
Kate, oh no! I'm off to email you now.
I thought Kate wanted you to email her some cobbler and was wondering how you were going to do that....
