Very cool. I like those old time hand pumps. When I was a boy scout, we use to go to camp where that was our only means of water. Priming the thing after not using it for a while was a real job.
im with buzz, that rusty pump makes it. Or wait, maybe its the brilliant koi that make it. either way, how wonderful a pond is. you have frogs and tadpoles?
happy 3 year anniversary btw. I left a comment i guess it was lost in Blogga.
Oooo, a pond post! I have not yet seen Her Royal Highness The Lady Bullfrog yet this year but we are having a cold spring. I think she will be a formidable opponent for Abby.
Very nice pond...so peaceful. It has occurred to me in the past that out of all the Florida garden blogs I've never seen anyone have a pond...so now I'm glad to discover that one of us has a water garden. Keep posting pics of it...please.
I finally installed a mesh shelter down in the bottom of my pond so the comets can duck in there when the neighbor cat or a coon stops by. It seems to be working as they all are surviving.
I wish I could have fish in my fountain, but the racoons would have them for dinner within 24 hours.
I think it looks really good. I paid someone to build mine and yours looks better. Your husband is really handy. I love the lava rock and water plants.
Wow, that is gorgeous! You must just love it! I love the old pitcher pump set up. My brother has something similar on his wife's pond and it is so pretty!

Buzz, a long time ago I worked in an antique store. The pump was one of many things I gifted myself with. :)
Chickory, we did have bullfrogs but I think they became coon snackies.
Froggy, be afraid Abby. lol
This is spectacular! Love the pump!
The pond! The pond! The pond!!!!!!

Love the pics.
It's so serene. The pump is so perfect . . . and of course - the pup is perfection personified :0)
How lovely! I'd been looking forward to an update - and it looks like pond is thriving quite nicely!
I want to give the pretty fishies and the dog a kiss. The pond looks great!

The pond is so pretty, I love water elements in a yard. I wonder if any of our beautiful water birds will use your pond as a lunchtime diner?!
FC's idea is good....
Sorry about not getting back to y'all. Been out playing in the dirt and enjoying the beautiful weather.
I know there are snakes lurking somewhere....
