What's with all the seaweed on shore? How about the full moon? How beautiful reflecting off the gulf? Playing peek-a-boo in the night sky clouds. I found a perfect common fig shell unbroken sitting all by itself on the sand. Now if I can just get it home unbroken.
Sham, just stay out of the water in the early mornings and evenings. That's when the sharks are most active and feeding. Fingers crossed for a crab carcass.

Took the teenagers to the beach on Monday morn and saw four small nurse sharks and one very friendly manatee. This was at South Pointe at South Beach! Water was very clean and clear and after a while the girls wanted to go to the pool. Spoilt they are, La Diva said NO!

Wow! What gorgeous photos. I just love the crab!
And most appropriately the word verification is "hydro"
3C, isn't he just the cutest?! Thankfully, I got one good picture before he scooted into his home.
Ain't paradise grand? Beautiful shot of the crab - those little buggers are fast!
Certainly makes me yearn for the beach!
"adorable"
Now that is a word you don't often hear when discussing ghost crabs.
I love your perspective Dani. Hope it was a great beach day!

Shamu, you lucky woman! Hangin' out in Sanibel looking for shells. Wish we could make it down to see you...

Shamu, we have a lot of ric rac on our beaches too. It's mostly from all the storms we had last week.
Have you seen any dolphin yet?
I've seen fins. I also saw the signs warning of sharks. YEEHAA.
Very rough ocean though. No crab carcasses yet.

I have a friend who kindly lets me use her beach house. I couldn't be any luckier.
