Pics from Last Week

More rocks for the pond. Nice!

John built a new bigger better raised bed. Widened the walkway too.

Froggy, we've had a bumper crop of widows this year...I'm finding the suckers everywhere.

Uh oh, somebody who's not supposed to be inside the fence is digging a hole.

I need a bigger fence.

Sounds like a job for The Husband!

That'll have to wait...already got the good man working on a chicken run for the coop. Trying to keep The Girlz safe from Maggie...she's quite the little chicken chaser.

Ah look, garden helpers. 'here mom, I'll dig the hole for you!'. Love your pond. And the green cotton. And your helpers. Not the spider.

Was enjoying a quiet stroll through your garden, ooh-ing and ah-ing over the majesty of even lily pads when suddenly there was Jiggs enjoying the raised flower bed. I laughed out loud!

We are over run with black widows....the entire neighborhood has them in their mail boxes...The Boy found several on the school playground in the equipment. When we went to the Organic festival in Gulfport that was the most fun for him....killing the black widows on the buildings along the sidewalk. Sigh. I've lived in Florida 43 years and NEVER saw one until last year. My mad scientist neighbor used to collect them on the sea walls and sell them to a lab back in the 60's. Then they were so hard to find. Hey wait....I wonder if they are still purchased for the venom???? I may have stumbled on to something here! Better not quit my day job though.
