An invasion! Once in Sarasota I saw a flock of red billed Ibis berth themselves in a Lychee Nut tree, in two minutes they had eaten all that fruit then took skyward again in a mass ascension.
These waxwings are numerous... are they migrating already?
Wow. That is a lot of cedar waxwings. I love how they are mouthing off to each other. I bet you were excited having that new camera and a great opportunity. Good job.
Grannie Annie sent me here and I am so glad I came. I just love these birds that zoom through my neighborhood but rarely stay long. Love the photos...thanks for sharing.
Oh wow! I live in South Florida - Ft. Lauderdale area - and I'd LOVE to see a Cedar Waxwing. They are more toward the center of the state than the south, I'm afraid. I did see that someone had located one just north of Margate, so I'll check there.....you have a whole tree full of them - how magnificent!!

Great pictures of the group plus you did an excellent job finding the pair of gossips in the group!

I love the photo where they seem to be talking to each other.
REALLY enjoying the blue sky too.
Granny, I don't know what was going on with those two, but they were picking on each other the whole time I was out there.
Tabor, thanks for stopping in. :) Hope you have a great weekend!
Boxer, couldn't have asked for better skies. Beautiful perfect blue.
