SO SWEET and beautiful. Even with the Shammy Poop of Approval. Did not know it was intended to be a Dog Rug but dogs have a way of making things their own.
You did a fantastic job. Need to consult with you about an estate sale item I purchased and the best way to clean it since it's a bedspread with original embroidery.

Well it was an estate sale of a woman who did a lot of her own sewing. I'm guessing at least 40 or 50 years old. They had already sold a lot of quilts much like what you've done here. But I'm guessing that people don't realize the embroidery quilts are just as beautiful as the other quilts. This was one of a pair that she must of had for a guest room pair of full size beds. I'll send you a picture tonight.

Very, very purty! And a lot of work.
Back in the day, for my 4 nieces, I would send them a fabric pack from one of the mail order places. Millions, it seemed, of little squares. They would end up all over the spare bedroom arranged in various little fabric bouquets. Aunts, friends and neighbors would get involved. This was the summer before their senior year. Finally they would pick out their fabric, I would order and fashion some sort of quilt out of it for them to take to college. To be presented upon high school graduation.
Your quilt brought back those memories.
