Tote Bags
I found this tutorial from Colorfool a couple months ago. It's a simple project and the end result is just plain cute. I thought I'd gift them to the little girls in our family for Christmas (Elizabeth has already claimed the green one). The totes are roomy enough that they can take them to the library or use them to carry their special treasures in.

Bye Bye pumpkins
Well, let's add pumpkins to the list of veggies that I'm not going to waste my time with. Between the Powdery Mildew and the Pickleworms, not to mention the Root Knot Nematodes, they were really struggling. And since space is a premium in my garden, they had to go. I had the little one pull them for us (I just couldn't do it). Poor little pumpkins, maybe next year will be better.

Hammock Snakeroot
Hammock Snakeroot is another great wildflower for the shady areas of the yard. I have mine planted in with Rouge Berry and Wild Coffees and it really looks beautiful when all of them are in bloom.
