The Front Yard Garden
I am loving the little front yard garden right now! The zinnias that I grew from seed are taking off, and the tomatoes, zucchini, and peppers are thriving and setting fruit. Which I'm not quite sure what to make of it. No viruses, no bugs, no mildew, no blossom end rot. Maybe it's a sign from the veggie gods that Hubs needs to plow the front yard and make it one big vegetable garden. I can just picture "the look" I'd get for that suggestion. ;)

Happy Earth Day
Ballerina Rose
Wild Petunia

All in a Day
A day is a perfect piece of time
to live a life, to plant a seed,
to watch the sun go by.
A day starts early, work to do,
beneath a brand-new sky.
A day brings hope and kindness, too...
a day is all its own.
You can make a wish,
and start again,
you can find your way back home.
Every bird and every tree
and every living thing
loves the promise in a day,
loves what it can bring.
There is a faith in morningtime,
there is belief in noon.
Evening will come whispering and shine a bright round moon.
A day can change everything,
given half a chance.
Rain could show up at your door
and teach you how to dance.
The past is sailing off to sea,
the future's fast asleep.
A day is all you have to be,
it's all you get to keep.
Underneath that great big sky
the earth is all a -spin.
This day will soon be over
and it won't come back again.
So live it well, make it count,
fill it up with you.
The day's all yours, it's waiting now...
See what you can do.

Pretty Pansies
I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance yesterday to reply to the comments. We have family coming in for the weekend, so I'm in that frantic cleaning mode. Which I'm sure they don't care how the house looks, but at some point they will want to sit at the kitchen table and not be surrounded by piles of stuff. :)
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I'll be back on Monday.

Big Fluffy Silky Bottoms.
With four other nest boxes to choose from, you would think Silky would pick an empty one, but does she? Nope, it's more fun to harass broody Peanut. Which for people unfamiliar with chickens, broody means, come hell or high water or big fluffy Silky bottoms, they're not leaving the nest, cause there are chicks to be hatched. Unfortunately, she's gonna be sitting there an awfully long time since we don't have a rooster to fertilize the eggs. Poor Peanut. She would make a good mommy to some little ones.
