They are so darn cute! If I lived in the country I'd have all kinds of chickens.

oh dear. now I want more babies. but winter? too hard here. Love them. I lost Wren 2 weeks ago to a hawk. It flew under the deck to get her. She was the one who looked like your Peanut. Im going to get more barred rocks in the spring. and for fun, a couple of "moderns" although they dnt look like they will be good layers. COngrats on your new girls!

Does this mean Minnie has gone byebye?

Yes, he had to go back to the farm over the weekend. His crowing was gonna get us busted if we didn't do something.

None in the house for us this year. It has been a couple of years since we ordered day old chicks. I sure miss the sweet sounds of their chirping. However we do have five new chicks running around outside with their mother. We have named them Bonnie and Clyde and Huey, Huey, and Huey. Two are distinguishable and the other three are solid black and unrecognizable thus the same name.

Dani said...

Granny, we had a Bonnie & Clyde too. They ended up being Barney & Clyde though.

I'm guessing Shammy's happy about his departure.

Dani said...

*snort* Yeah, she wasn't down with all that lovin'.

Big Shamu said...

Then she is perfectly named.

I hope these really are girl, because Shammy will LOVE having girls in the yard...Roosters are just too well.... is desperate a proper word to apply to them?
