My mom went in for knee replacement surgery two weeks ago, and it hasn't gone well. She now has a massive infection that they're trying real hard to get a handle on. So please if you could send some good thoughts our way. I'm very worried.

Oh my goodness Dani, I am so sorry to hear this. Did she get a staph infection in the hospital? That seems to be happening a lot lately. She is in my prayers. Keep us posted on her progress.

My business partner got a horrible infection when they removed the pins in his finger after his surgery.... it took a lot of antibiotics but he was fine. I'm so sorry for your Mother and she's in my prayers.
make sure she takes PRO-biotics while taking antibiotics. Trust me.

Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere. Seek peace Dani, I do pray for 100% healing in your mom's body with no trace of infection.
I will say a prayer for your mom, and take care of yourself too Dani, so you can be there for her.

I am heading over this weekend to build a ramp for my Dad, he fell and broke his kneecap last week.
I don't like this whole aging parent thing. It pretty much sucks.

Just got off the phone with her and she's sounding better than she has all week.
She said later this afternoon the surgeon is gonna reopen the area to clean it and see about putting a drain in.

They ended up putting a drain in so hopefully that'll help. :) :)

Terry's mother had the same thing happen to her. Finally they went back in and scrape the bone and some other stuff I don't know what and wow it worked!
