With the Gulf waters all churned up, it makes for a perfect time to go hunt for fossils. (We're nerds like that.) I didn't find any, but hubby did. Not a bad take for an hour out.

That looks like fun! We never find fossils up here along the panhandle. We did find cool ones when we lived in Safety Harbor though.

Nice teeth! We found some in Venice Beach a couple months ago, but none were that big. Guess going after a storm is the time to do it!
whoo! we'll have to go out there and hunt as well. I was going to go yesterday but got roped into sewing flags for the colorguard.
Samantha has found a few on IRB, but not too many. You've got a bounty there!
I see the storms have brought in a lot more seaweed yet again!
Swampangel, We've always wanted to check out the beaches in Venice. We've heard that the shelling is good too.
Laura, we parked at the public lot(8th ave?)next to the building that Tacky Turtle used to be in.
Goodness! Sharks teeth? Uncle has a whole bag of them thangs tucked away--that he found as a child.

Last week, we walked near indian shores, and ended up having to run back to the car because a thunderstorm broke loose all around us. (figures, huh?)
Hub managed to find a few out there however!

How cool is that!! So what do you do with them?
Hey Lisa, hubby has quite the collection. Mostly sharks teeth, but he has alot of bone and teeth from some extinct critters in Florida. Usually we save them all and put them in one of those plastic cases with all the cubbies.
