Is that some kind of squash in that first picture? Do you groom your chickens?
Those look like camel tomatoes. My mom use to grow them all the time because they were cool looking.
Granny, they're little yellow pear tomatoes. Elizabeth just loves them!
Buzz, they're a very old heirloom. I think Thomas Jefferson was growing them in his gardens at Monticello.
Buzz, if you want I can save some seeds for you.
I loves the chickens! If we ever get to retire and go back to The Engineer's farm country roots I'm getting some chickens!

Yummy looking salad fixins. It's not always easy to have ripe tomatoes when the lettuce is ready for pickin. Enjoy!

So lovely, all of it! My daughter just reminded me we need to hit the farmer's market to buy her fave little tomatoes (what is it with little girls and little tomatoes?) so she can dip them in ranch dressing. LOL

I am soooooo envious. How do you grow nasturtiums here? I can't! Tell me where you got the seeds quick so I can order! PLEASE! And then I get to the chicken photo...hello! I laughed so hard. That is the best chicken photo by far.
SPP, any of the box stores will have the seeds.
I find mine do best if I plant the them around Oct-Nov.
I just love my Vera. She's such a goofy lookin' hen.

the nasturtiums. They are my favorite. I use the flowers as a garnish and both the flowers and leaves in salad. peppery and bright!
Oh man, makes me want to make a salad from that and eat it right in your garden! x=
