Loch just started last summer, so he was 7, right now he's mastering the standard "Bile them cabbage down" LOL! Ack, jewelry, me too! The girl that gets lessons right before Loch is always getting scolded by the teacher, she is about 16 and refuses to cut her nails LOL, we always walk in right about when the lecture starts :)
My Great Grandma played the banjo. My Gran has an old Supertone of hers they got from the Sears and Roebuck catalog...I keep saying I'd like to learn to play.
And just beautiful pictures!!!! I really do love this time of year.
There's my girl! I knew you'd notice the banjo strap! lol No, but DAMN I wish I would have cause now I'm down to just a little over a yard left. *sniff* *sniff*
Oh I hear ya. I did see that the Namesake Shamy hadn't checked in yet, but I was hoping the Silkie Shamy hadn't become a daredevil and climbed to some roof somewhere.
So we know where both human and feathery members of ShamyWorld are - this is good.

Pretty blooms. The bit sounded good, you're doing fine :)
Your blooms are gorgeous and listen to you figuring out that banjo! Nice.
Thanks Chandramouli. I just keep on practicing.
Darla, it would go a lot better if my fingers would remember where they're supposed to go. :)
It is sounding great! Loch wants to play fiddle with you! :)
Come on over Loch!
How old was Loch when he started?
The hardest part for me with the banjo is wearing pics on my fingers. Y'all know how OCD I get with wearing jewelry! *shudder*

Melissa, you should check out Cold Antler Farm Blog. There's about 20 of us taking the online lessons there.
I'm happy to report lilacs blooming!
You are getting good, Dani. And, as always, beautiful pics.
Beautiful glowers and I just love the banjo!
Gorgeous flowers - and you go with that banjo! That's some progress there - so fun!
Flower picker, banjo picker!
Shamy, Shamy, Shamy where are you?
Thanks for my daily dose of inspiration, Dani!
Hear that? It's me applauding you:)
I'M HERE!!! Very beautiful flowers. You can send me seeds for any of those.
And what do I spy with my little eye.....why it's Skulls as a banjo strap. Did you clean out the fabric store of that particular fabric??
There's my girl!
I knew you'd notice the banjo strap! lol

OK I'm relieved now. I thought Dani was calling for the Silkie Shamy. Phew.
hehehe. I've been blessed these last couple years of having Shamy as a friend. When she doesn't pop up in the comments I tend to get a little nervous.

Yep, it's all good. :)
Excellent! Now to find out if Silkie Shamy's a girl..
I know. She's so friendly and bonded with us. It's not gonna go over well if we have to rehome her.
