Wow, your eggplant and beans LOOK AMAZING! I wish I had some pansies to pick and put around the house, sweet! LOL to the comment about chicky being a boy, haha!
Eggy, our oak tree was the only thing that really took a bad hit. Everything else did ok. We are so lucky. Spent the weekend cleaning up with the rest of our neighborhood. You know the tree guys made a fortune!
Erin, it's so nice to have friends that like chickens.
Susan, yeah, no boys allowed. That's just asking for trouble from the big, bad, scary code enforcement man.
Your garden is such a joy! My vegetable potager was inspired in no small part by your lush mixed veggie plot. I only wish I had your talent in how to plant it so beautifully. perhaps you would be willing to advise? LOL.

I'm almost afraid to ask how one finds out if a chicky is a boy or girl...
What a great place. I am fairly certain I could live in that chicken coop. Or maybe get my own coop, next to that one?
Froggy, it's really a waiting game. By 3-4 months old it will start crowing if it's a boy.
My gut is going with the girl vibe though.
Diva, soon you'll be getting yummy things from your garden plot. So exciting!
Melissa, hehehe.
I look at your photos and just sigh and relax. What a lovely, peaceful spot. How is the pond doing?
I completely understand your contentment right there at home!
ThreeC, it got a little murky when the oak pollen started dropping, but other than that, it's cycling good.
Darla, what a wonderful new profile pic of you!
Shamy, then she'll be right at home with Cotton.
Your vegetable garden is "picture-perfect"...just like that adorable little pansy.
Gorgeous! Love your lit'l garden shed.
Shamy might be a boy???????????? This cannot be.
it's all just too beautiful ! you've created a spectacular Eden - simple lovely. Pleasebeaboy Pleasebeaboy ?!?

If I could get my yard to look like yours.......I would be SO happy! Your place is just wonderful!

Susan you do realize if Shamy is a boy that he'll have to go away....
It says John right there on his shirt.
Must be male.
I have no idea about the chicken he's holding.
I really am getting my coop fix today! I got a book on coops at the library, and now this photo of my favorite one :)
Yes, your "green acres" are always so soothing. Looks pretty darned cleaned up after your tornadoes last week!

FC, wacka, wacka!
Once again, FC cracks me up. Beautiful place you have there.
really, really, hope she's not a he.
And your garden looks beautiful. I love that little yellow house.
It's all so beautiful! Every time I see your posts I want to run out and plant everything in sight. Too bad my thumb is black as coal LOL
Is the inside of your house anywhere as neat and crisp as your garden?
Heck no Granny! lol
Those pictures are so great!!! Btw -- I think you will get a smile out of my post for today. :)
That's a great harvest and the greens and violets look great! I'm sure your chickens contribute to their plush growth.

Dani,
I followed you over here from Marianne's blog, Northview Diary.
Your blog is dazzling.
I didn't know where to leave a comment because all your posts are delightful.
But that in-your-face-good morning pansy plopped me right down here :-)
What a beautiful life.
You made my day Cathy!
